      Description

Received this email a while back:

" I'm currently creating a ranking system for benchmarks results, called BenchTab, and we wanted to add a kind of bidge to HWBot. In other words, is it possible to prepopulate hardware filds on submission page ? For exemple, it would be convinient for users to click, in our BenchTab, on a link such as http://hwbot.org/submit/benchmark/superpi/?cpu=foo which prepopulate the "CPU" field with the "foo" value. Is there any way to do this? Since our BenchTab is coded in PHP, I can send GET and POST values if necessary."

In essence, the user wants to integrate a "submit now" page on his website, which would allow all his team mates to submit a result to HWBOT from their site. Basically an HWBOT plugin. Imho, it might be interesting because:

      - the remote site would be translated
      - google likes sites linking in to your site (+++ rating)
      - also direct hwbot exposure on a different site, instead of just the forum

      Doable, what do you think?

I was going to send him an e-mail but as I understand, he wants to basically become a facade for hwbot, were users submit something on his website, and can then copy that submission to hwbot. Frederik said (and I agree) that we don't really have anything to gain from this. If he launches his own benchmark, that's perfectly fine, but submitting any result to hwbot using a different site is not allowed.
